Shop till you Drop!

Forget the credit crunch... and enjoy some great retail therapy with our winter sales.

Norwich is one of the UK's top five places to shop, with its speciality outlets, two
shopping centres and the country's largest open-air market. Whilst in Cambridge,
discover the Grand Arcade, which combines classical heritage with cutting edge
retail. The attractive towns of Colchester, Ipswich and King's Lynn offer plenty of
shopping opportunities amongst their historic streets and lanes.

Love is in the Air

Celebrate Valentine's Day in the East of England, with our romantic treats.

Woo and wow your loved one at Delia Smith's stylish restaurant in Norwich, or
head to the city's 15th C. Guildhall to sip down a warming cup of hot chocolate at
Caley's. In Cambridge, cuddle up on your very own chauffeured punt - as you past
under the dreamy spires, complete with some red roses and champagne.

For the ultimate in aphrodisiacs, head to Britain's oldest recorded town Colchester,
where oysters have been farmed since Roman times. Head to nearby Mersea
Island to enjoy them as part of a seafood platter at The Company Shed. Not in the
mood for all this fancy stuff? - then head to Aldeburgh or Cromer to enjoy some fish
and chips whilst watching a romantic sunset over the sea.

Seasonal Fun

Enjoy some fun days out this New Year.

train to Manningtree, then walk across to Flatford Mill - where you can join a guided
ramble (31 January) to visit the places and views which inspired the artist John
Constable. 2009 marks the 70th anniversary of the excavation of the buried ship at
